Rushing ahead, we charged toward Ange and Arata.
This moment marked the decisive point between victory and defeat. Taking down those two, who were on par with Pendragon, would provide a massive advantage for the Demon King’s side.
But on the flip side, if the three of us were defeated, our already outnumbered side would almost certainly lose.
So, we must defeat them. We would take them down and take a monumental step toward victory!
“Eat this, ‘Scythe of Condemnation’!”
“Yield before my blade, ‘Extreme Slash’!”
“Prepare to be sent flyin’, ‘Twin Palm Thrust’!”
We unleashed our arts simultaneously. A direct hit would mean an instant kill.
Just as I wondered how they would defend against our attack, Ange made a surprising move.
Without a hint of hesitation, she stepped forward, and then…

It wasn’t like she was invulnerable. Both Zansword’s and my blades pierced through her, and the baldhead’s palms drove into her abdomen. Fresh blood spewed from Ange’s mouth, evidence of the damage she had sustained.

Her grin beaming, she swung her scythes–!
“Whoa?!”
Reacting swiftly, we leaped backward. The drill and chainsaw, resembling torture instruments, swept through the space right in front of me.
“Come on, give it your all! I won’t die until you guys do…!”
The sound of trickling water echoed across the battlefield.
Looking over, I saw the wounds on Ange’s body were rapidly healing.
She likely had an automatic recovery skill. Moreover, surviving our combined assault indicated an exceptionally high HP, implying…
“You’re a ‘Tank’, huh. Well, this could be troublesome…!”
She was the kind of enemy you definitely didn’t want to face when you were exhausted.
Now, how are we going to deal with her—just as that thought crossed my mind, a black shadow approached us.
Arata, wielding an immense black sword, launched an attack at blinding speed.
“Die–!”
A flash from the side. The black blade of the sword closed in on us with astonishing speed.
In response, the baldhead swung with the back of his fist in a sweeping motion. The super-heavy sword strike came to an abrupt halt.
“Activate skill ‘God-slaying Fist’! Nullifying all impacts.”
“I’m not done yet.”
In the next moment, the black sword was sent hurtling away.
But it was merely a ruse. By the time the sword met with the baldhead’s fist, Arata had already let go of his grip on the hilt and slipped beneath the baldhead’s guard.
Then, he clenched his fist, and…
“You’ll be the first to die–!”
“Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa?!”
A brutal impact. The thunderous blow crushed the baldhead’s sternum, launching him flying high into the sky.
His blood poured down like rain.
“Baldhead?!”
“You’re up next.”
I didn’t even have time to be shocked. Without a pause, Arata the devil unleashed a flurry of fists like a storm.
Each strike packed a pure, unadulterated power. I hastily summoned a multitude of shields, but they cracked and shattered after just a few hits.
Despite my swift attempt to retreat and evade the ceaseless onslaught, it proved futile—Arata doggedly pursued and stuck close to me, denying my escape.
“Damn, if Ange is a ‘Tank’, this guy is an ‘Attacker’, specialized in Strength and Agility…!”
Both were basic builds in online games.
They were completely different from me who heavily relied on skills and arts.
“Hold on, I’m coming, Yuri!”
“Oh no, you’re not! Don’t forget about me!”
Zansword tried to rush to my aid, only to be halted by Ange brandishing her scythes.
I was trapped in the whirlwind of ferocious fists…!
The punches weren’t only coming from the front; they were sneaking in from the sides, evading my shields and striking me directly, again and again.
“You’ve hurt Alice! For that, you must pay with your liiiiiiiiife!”
But, abruptly, the flurry of fists suddenly paused.
Arata pulled back his right arm to the utmost limit, affording me a precious moment to contemplate and react before the inevitable strike.
What’s he doing?! Did he lose control over his emotions? Or is this a trap? If it is, should I create some distance and retreat? No–!
In a split second, I weighed my options and settled on a course of action.
Be it an emotional slip or some kind of trap, it would be unmanly to retreat.
“When an enemy shows an opening, you’ve gotta seize the opportunity and strike, oraaa!”
I clenched my fists and planted my feet firmly on the ground.
Creating distance was one thing, but outright retreating was an option I couldn’t entertain. I had to assault the enemy and inflict damage upon him!
Arata, it’s time for you to taste my fist!
With that thought propelling me, I thrust forth my fist—but in that very instant…
“I knew someone as brave as you would opt to attack.”
A resounding boom reverberated through the battlefield.
But it was not the sound of my fist connecting with Arata’s body.
Rather, it was the sound of my fist being blocked by the greatsword he now held in his left hand.
“Wha-?! That greatsword…”
Isn’t it the one the baldhead sent flying—Before I could even utter those words, I noticed it.
At his feet, a distinct mark was imprinted, evidence of the blade that had impaled the ground.
–This meant Arata had been purposely guiding me toward the exact location where the greatsword had landed.
The occasional strikes from the side were to correct my trajectory.
“Ha, haha… You had me focus on your right arm while secretly retrieving your sword with your left hand…!”
I had been dancing on his palm… And judging from his composed tone just now, all those furious screams were definitely an act.
Nonetheless, my realization came too late. His poised right fist, which had served as a feint, now closed in on me…
“My bad, but I’m an old hand at online games. There is no way I would lose to a hatchling like you–!”
The devil’s mighty fist thrust surged forward.
It struck my defenseless body, and a detonation-like impact reverberated through my chest.
“Ga-haaaaaa?!”
Dreadful scenarios raced through my mind.
My Tenacity skill might not activate, or perhaps–instant death as my avatar shattered to bits.
Amid my fretting over the impending repercussions of the impact spreading to the rest of my body, I was violently blown away…!
